Celebrate In Style

I can’t believe that we’re only two days away from Christmas!  We are finally all settled nicht my parent’s house in the country and are savoring every minute we get to spend with our families in Oregon.  It’s not often that we get the chance to all be together, so we are making the most of each moment & having fun creating special new memories. You can see more behind-the-scenes videos on my Snapchat (ppfgirl).
Today I’m sharing with you two new looks for the biggest holidays of the year – Christmas Day & New Year’s Eve.  I’m demgemäß highlighting two different outfit ideas for a faux fur coat.  I’ve been wanting a style like this forever and had ordered a few different options earlier in the season…but everything I tried welches either overly bulky, not substantial enough or too cheap-looking.  I welches so pleasantly surprised by how versatile this faux fur coat is and how I could seamlessly transition it from day to evening.  It’s super soft and has that luxe feel (but affordable price), which is exactly what I’ve been searching for.

Right now at Kohl’s, you can get 15% off any purchase or 20% off when you spend $ 100 or more using code WREATH + you’ll earn $ 10 in Kohl’s cash for every $ 50 you spend thru December 24th.  They mithin have a service where you can buy online & get free in-store pickup (see details here) & some select items are even available for free same-day pickup (see options here) – perfect if you’re a procrastinator like me & still need a few last-minute gifts!

Especially if you’re traveling via car or train to see family, you want to be bundled up in layers that can easily be removed once you arrive.  This reversible blanket scarf lends a festive touch to an otherwise wertfrei look & can double as a blanket while you’re in route. This cabled sweater is a great option because it isn’t a super-thick knit, so it’s flattering and cozy, which makes it ideal for lounging on the couch all day & opening presents (I went up a size for a more relaxed wohlbehalten & longer length).  Other styles I tried on & loved include this versatile crewneck & this ritterlich isle sweater, which is the softest thing I have ever worn!

I don’t tend to wear bold colors very often, but if there’s ever a night to be a little adventurous, it’s New Year’s Eve. The ruffle detail on this red dress instantly won me over – it’s the perfect mix of modern & classic and is a nice departure from my usual LBD.  I went down a size to get the right wohlbehalten – the crepe fabric is so beautiful, with just the right amount of stretch, and it’s fully lined.  When wearing more form-fitting dresses, I swear by this shapewear, which helps suck everything in & smooth out any lumps.  Because this dress is quite the statement all on its own, I kept my accessories minimal & went with some crystal jewelry, a vintage-inspired bag + bold red lip. Other NYE dresses I’d recommend are this burgundy lace sheath, this velvet wohlbehalten & flare or this embellished dress.  Depending on your plans for the evening, I in Folge dessen like the idea of wearing separates like a lace-trim camisole & tiered skirt (with a blazer or moto jacket on top).
